Dr. Federico Gutiérrez-Larraya

Dr. Federico Gutiérrez-Larraya is the Head of the Pediatric Cardiology Department at La Paz University Hospital and Ruber International Hospital. He is considered one of the most prestigious cardiologists in Spain.

He holds a Doctorate in Medicine and is a specialist in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. He is also a Professor of Medicine and Pediatric Cardiology at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), and the Federico Villarreal University (UFV).

He has a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from ESADE and IESE Business School.

He is also a certified Sports Cardiologist, Director of the Master’s Program in Congenital Heart Disease and Pediatric Cardiology at the Autonomous University of Madrid and the CEU San Pablo Tech Institute, and former Director of Innovation and Digital Transformation at La Paz University Hospital. He is the Pediatric and Adolescent Cardiovascular Risk Coordinator for the Community of Madrid and a Fellow of the American Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.

He is the author of over 100 international publications and has presented at over 100 international conferences.

He is the Director of the Pediatric Cardiovascular Research Group at idiPAZ and the Principal Investigator in more than 20 pediatric cardiology projects.

He is a frequent speaker at numerous national and international clinical management courses related to new technologies and interventional cardiology.

He is a member, holding various positions, of leading national and international professional societies and a member of the editorial board and reviewer for numerous cardiology journals.
